We introduce an Ion-Dipole Correction (IDC) to the 3DRISM solvation model that correctly predicts water distributions around negatively charged solutes, which is especially useful for nucleic acids.  This work is part of a JPCB special issue on “Biomolecular Electrostatic Phenomena”.
